American Legion

Hi, everyone.

"If you can't feed 100 people, then just feed one." - Mother Teresa

I think the City of Brigantine is doing more than just that. Next week, each zone has a certain day to fill a bag with canned goods and get them out by 7:30. The city trucks will pick them up. I don't have to tell you how much they are needed.

Now another thing, I have been to a few stores and I don't see many toys in those boxes that say ‘Toys For Tots.’ I know it is hard because of Sandy, but little ones don't know that.

Now the fun side. The American Legion had their Trim-a-Tree, or should I say, "A Christmas Tree Party." It was great. Everyone brought something to eat. But I must say Margaret had everything set up so nice. Thank you, Margaret! And, of course, good old Santa arrived. Pictures were taken, lots of fun. It felt good for all of us to gather. Kind of like united. Yes!

Help A Hero! Soldiers in Afghanistan brave a freezing cold winter, so they appreciate hand warmers (small packets that emit heat after exposure to air). Send your extras to the nonprofit Lance Cpl. Eric A. Palmisano Care Package Project, 4588 Carpenter Road, Florence, WI 54121.

Time for a giggle!

Q: What did the rug say to the floor?

A: Don't move, I've got you covered!

God bless and stay well.
