American Legion American Legion

Hi, everyone.

Smile and live longer! Research shows that folks who smile live about seven years longer than their somber-looking counterparts. Why? Smiling tells the brain to produce calming chemicals that relieve stress and anxiety a key way to protect your health.

This, I think, may be true!

My love and I go to the doctor’s every day. We walk in with a big smile and say "hi" to everyone. They all smile no matter how they feel. It just makes you feel good.

For those who know Uncle Bob, I hear he is in the hospital very sick. Now all you have to do is ask a bartender at the American Legion and he will let you know. Maybe send a card, and that will make him smile!

Now time to get to the Super Bowl. Oh yes! As you know, it is Sunday, Feb. 3. Kick-off time is around 6:30 p.m. Everyone will be gathering at the American Legion for the game. Members and guests only. We sure hope to see you all there. By the way, I heard the food will be great. And you know who is cooking. The best!
