Cathy from Bayside reports that stripers are here for those who can get out to fish. They are off the rocks, beaches and inlet. There are a lot of puppy drum in the surf being caught on clams and bloodworms.

The Bayside Marina Midnight Madness tournament is canceled, but it may be rescheduled for Dec. 1-2. We'll see how the cleanup is going.

Water came right up to the step of the bait shop – another eighth of an inch, and it would have been in. But the crab tank did overflow and burned up one of my pumps.

Our docks and bulkhead are wrecked, but we were lucky with the house. This storm could have been a lot worse, and hasn't seemed to mess up the fishing. Have a great (60 degree!) weekend.
