County chamber to honor 25- and 50-year members

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce will recognize 10 members who celebrate 25 years of membership and two members for 50 years of membership at its next monthly business meeting set for Thursday, May 15 at Two Mile Restaurant.

The Golden Inn Hotel & Conference Center and Cape May County Technical High School will be presented with a plaque recognizing their 50 years of membership in the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce.

 Members of Xi Beta Pi, a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi international women’s group, deliver car seats to Cape Regional Medical Center. CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Dianna Day, Extension Officer, Kate Carr, President, and Mary Conley, Treasurer of Xi Beta Pi, a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi international women’s group, recently delivered five car seats to the Maternal and Child Health Department at Cape Regional Medical Center.

“We are very pleased to make our annual delivery of car seats to Cape Regional Medical Center,” stated Day. “This is our way of showing our appreciation to the staff at Cape Regional’s maternity department and to make sure that every family has a brand-new, state-of-the-art car seat to transport their newborn home.”

VOORHEES – Kevin Kirwan has been named senior director of operations for New Jersey American Water’s Coastal Region, which includes Atlantic, Cape May, Monmouth, and Ocean counties. Kirwan will be responsible for water production, field customer service, water transmission and distribution operations, and oversee local construction projects in New Jersey American Water’s service areas.

“Zoe does an excellent job in her ER registration clerk position. She is always friendly, welcoming and a great new employee trainer,” stated Ashley Brad, a co-worker in ER registration.

Bank backs parish nurse program

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – The TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable arm of TD Bank, recently donated $9,000 to Cape Regional Medical Center’s parish nurse program.

The funds from the TD Charitable Foundation will support the program’s community outreach initiatives through health fairs, community health and wellness education, free health screenings and support groups.
