AVALON– On Saturday, May 24, co-owners Dan Clark and Ed Hackett will reopen The Diving Horse for its fifth season. They will also introduce a new executive chef, Palmer Marinelli, who has cooked at their restaurant for the past four years, most recently as Chef de Cuisine.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Cape Counseling CEO Greg Speed and executive vice president Steven Marchiano recently presented a $25,000 check to Cape Regional Medical Center, completing a $50,000 pledge in support of the behavioral health unit in the emergency department.
“The unit, which opened in the summer of 2013, serves individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders in a safe environment that greatly enhances the patient’s privacy and security,” said vice president of patient services Deborah Baehser.

WILDWOOD CREST – Crest Savings Bank sponsored the Second Annual Mary Lazarus Memorial Benefit Fundraiser held Saturday, May 3 at the Bayview in Wildwood Crest. The proceeds from the event support assisting individuals with mental illness through Cape Counseling Services in Cape May County.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce will recognize 10 members who celebrate 25 years of membership and two members for 50 years of membership at its next monthly business meeting set for Thursday, May 15 at Two Mile Restaurant.
The Golden Inn Hotel & Conference Center and Cape May County Technical High School will be presented with a plaque recognizing their 50 years of membership in the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Dianna Day, Extension Officer, Kate Carr, President, and Mary Conley, Treasurer of Xi Beta Pi, a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi international women’s group, recently delivered five car seats to the Maternal and Child Health Department at Cape Regional Medical Center.
“We are very pleased to make our annual delivery of car seats to Cape Regional Medical Center,” stated Day. “This is our way of showing our appreciation to the staff at Cape Regional’s maternity department and to make sure that every family has a brand-new, state-of-the-art car seat to transport their newborn home.”
