ATLANTIC CITY – Two Atlantic City casinos have announced expansion plans for 2012.

Tropicana Casino and Resort will expand its Tango’s Lounge, adding 30 seats, a new dance area, and a relocated stage adjacent to the future location of Boogie Nights.

“Over 1,000 square feet of new space will be built and ready by the end of first quarter 2012,” said Tropicana President and CEO Tony Rodio.

Tango’s Lounge is located just off the entrance to the Quarter and the main casino floor in the Tropicana’s south tower. For information see www.tropicana.net.

The Golden Nugget Atlantic City, formerly Trump Marina, recently unveiled its Live Bar and Rush Lounge as part of an ongoing renovation project. This month the Nugget will begin renovation of the casino floor and atrium, and add the Grotto Italian Ristorante, d’Oro Fine Jewelry and Watches, and a confectionery called the Chocolate Box.

In February the casino will add a spa and salon, Red Sushi restaurant, and H2O pool and bar. For information see www.goldennugget.com.
