Mark Parson has been named director of golf at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point. Parson, of Northfield, has been a Class-A PGA member for more than 15 years. He began his new duties at the club on April 21.
“We are very fortunate to have someone with Mark’s background and experience here at Greate Bay,” said general manager Rob Damiani. “His experience with top-100 rated facilities and skill level are exactly what we need.”
Parson spent much of his career as a golf pro at private clubs in New Jersey, Connecticut and New York.
“For me, golf is more than a game; it is a passion and a way of life,” Parson said. “I view every encounter with club members and guests as an opportunity to go beyond the expected and offer an exceptional level of customer service.”
Parson has served as a mentor to assistant professionals, and has been involved in junior golf development and professional tournament committees.
