CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Social worker Bonnie Soto was presented with the August Service Excellence Award in a surprise celebration at Cape Regional Medical Center.

"Bonnie is superior in her position. She is always available to help with a family,” stated Deb Kelchner, staff nurse. “She is professional in her actions and appearance, and she is an asset to the patients at Cape Regional Medical Center.”

JoAnn McGettigan, Director of Case Management stated, “Bonnie manages a unit that has a quick turnover, presenting her with the challenge of staying informed about her patients’ needs. She is able to manage this because of her ‘can do’ attitude and thorough understanding of the social work and care management processes. Congratulations, Bonnie and thank you for providing exceptional care and being an exceptional person.”

Soto has been a member of the Cape Regional Medical Center team since 2000. In addition to working as a discharge planner, she is also involved with the Employee Patient Satisfaction Committee. When not working at the Medical Center, Bonnie enjoys spending time with her family. She is the mother of two children, Anaya, 8 and Amir, 7. Watching her children’s soccer and softball games keeps her very busy.

“One of the best things about my job is my relationship with my co-workers,” Soto said. “We really work well together and are supportive of each other-all in an effort to provide the best care possible to our patients
