Joan Pote receives Service Excellence Award

  Joan Pote Joan Pote CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE – Cape Regional Medical Center nutritional services cook Joan Pote received the Service Excellence Award for April.

"Joan brightens the day with her great sense of humor and smile. She is consistently happy and friendly to her customers,” said Kevin Smyth, Marjorie Madonna, and Carolyn Richards, who nominated her for the award. “Joan goes above and beyond to ensure everyone has access to a great breakfast and is an awesome Cape Regional team member.”

Pote lives with her family in Villas. She has five children, 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

“Each and every day Joan comes to work with a positive attitude,” said Vince DePietro, executive chef in the Nutritional Services Department. “She is a team player who is always there to offer a helping hand.”

Pote said she loves to cook and loves people.

“So this is the perfect career for me,” she said.
