Kelsey Gavigan named to Saint Francis University Dean’s List

Kelsey Gavigan, of Cape May, an Elementary Education/Special Education major, was among more than 600 students from Saint Francis University who made the spring 2012 Dean's List. To achieve Dean's List students must have full-time status and must attain a quality point average of at least 3.5 for the given semester.

Kevin J. Thornton appointed to Maritime Law Association committee

Kevin J. Thornton, Esq. was recently reappointed as chairman of the Maritime Law Association of the United States (MLA)’s Committee on Fisheries. This will be his fourth year serving as chairman.

Thornton, a partner in the firm Cooper Levenson, is also a "Proctor in Admiralty" – a title used by  the MLA “to designate the most distinguished class of membership for practicing maritime attorneys.”

Thornton serves as an active member of the MLA's Recreational Boating Committee and of the Marine Trades Association of New Jersey. Since 1999, he has served as counsel for the Garden State Seafood Association, whose members are engaged in all aspects of the commercial fishing and seafood processing and merchandising industries.

Thornton and his wife Amy live in Cold Spring, Lower Township.

Sara Tumasz-Zolty named to College of Saint Elizabeth’s Dean’s List

Sara Tumasz-Zolty, of North Cape May, has been recognized for academic achievement during the 2012 spring semester, and has been awarded a Dean's List honoree at the College of Saint Elizabeth. Tumasz-Zolty is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Daniel Hrubos graduates from Delaware Valley College

Daniel Hrubos, of North Cape May, is among the Delaware Valley College's May list of graduates. Delaware Valley College is a multi-disciplinary institution in Doylestown, Pa. that offers both undergraduate and graduate programs.
