CAPE MAY – Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) Executive Director James T. Johnson, Jr. this week announced his intention to retire from the bi-state agency. A resident of Lewes, Del., Johnson served in this leadership role at the DRBA for 10 years.

The DRBA Commission appointed Scott A. Green, Esq. of Rehoboth Beach, Del. to be the agency’s next executive director. Green currently serves as a commissioner. He will resign from that position to become executive director.

Green is a former senior executive with MBNA America, where his responsibilities included real estate and legal matters, local government relations, and sales.

The DRBA, a bi-state governmental agency created by Compact in 1962, owns and operates the Delaware Memorial Bridge, the Cape May- Lewes Ferry, the Three Forts Ferry Crossing and the Salem Business Centre in Carney’s Point Twp., NJ. The DRBA also manages corporate and aviation properties through its economic development powers - two airports in New Jersey (Millville Airport and Cape May Airport) and three in Delaware (New Castle Airport, Civil Air Terminal and Delaware Airpark). All DRBA operating revenues are generated through the bridge, ferry and airport facilities.
