Groups participate in ‘Wreaths Across America’

LOWER TOWNSHIP – Local civic groups participated in “Wreaths Across America,” an annual nationwide ceremonial tribute to military veterans, both those who have served and those who presently serve, on Saturday, Dec. 15.
The mission of the event is "To remember the fallen, to honor those who serve, and to teach our children the value of freedom."
The ceremony took place in the veterans’ section of the Cold Spring Cemetery in Lower Township on Academy and Seashore Roads.
Participating organizations include the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary 86 of Lower Township, the Ancient Order of Hibernians of North Wildwood, the Cape May County Emerald Society, the Greater Cape May Elks Lodge 2839, the Greater Wildwood Elks Lodge 1896, the Kiwanis Club of Cape May, the Cape May Beach Property Owners Association, and the VFW Post 386 of Cape May.
