NORTH CAPE MAY – Genesis Healthcare, Emeritus Senior Living and Conifer Village partnered recently for their third Iron Chef Challenge, with local chefs from Victoria Manor, Victoria Commons and Emeritus of Cape May each trying to bake the tastiest Christmas cookies.
The cookies ranged from chocolate chips to coconut macaroons, fruit cake cookies to cherries jubilee cookies.
First place was presented to Chef Cindy Blackburn of Emeritus Senior Living who baked a chocolate dipped orange cookie.
Residents had a difficult time deciding between the eight different varieties.
Second place was presented to Chef Jeff Marshall, of Victoria Manor. Third place was also given to Blackburn for her signature "Surprise Chocolate Chip cookie.”
The judges were all residents at Conifer Village.
