Local students to attend leadership conference

LOWER TOWNSHIP – Six students at Lower Cape May Regional High School have been selected to attend the 2013 Middle School Leadership Conference on Thursday, Jan. 10th at Camden County College in Blackwood.

Seventh graders Aaron Cotrell, Orlando Rios and Tayanis Torres and eighth graders Autumn Flynn, Jair Perez and Skylar Tsosie will attend the conference.

The conference is held by the New Jersey Closing the Achievement Gap Committee and is geared toward minority students who exemplify leadership in their respective schools.

The students were chosen based on their grades, work ethic, respect, discipline and attendance.
