Lower Township man faces child porn charges

NORTH CAPE MAY – A Lower Township man has been charged with possession and distribution of child pornography.
Authorities today announced the arrest of Robert Hedley III. He is accused of sending child pornography over the Internet.
The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and High Tech Unit and the Lower Township Police Department detectives executed a search warrant on his home at 3900 Bayshore Road in North Cape May. Authorities seized several computers.
Hedley was released on his own recognizance. He could face more charges with the analysis of his computers, according to the county prosecutor’s office.
Hedley was charged with second-degree distribution and fourth-degree possession of child pornography.
People convicted of a second-degree offense are subject to five to 10 years in state prison.
