LOWER TOWNSHIP – Lower Township police and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office arrested a Lower Township man Wednesday, Feb. 6 for possession and distribution of prescription drugs.
Mark Adams, 41, was distributing Oxycodone and Adderall, both Schedule II prescription narcotics, police said.
The county’s Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force and members of the Lower Township Police Department conducted an investigation in the case. As a result of the investigations, police found Adams with a large quantity of suspected Oxycodone pills, an amount of suspected Adderall, and money from the sale of the drugs, according to police.
Adams was charged with three counts of possession and two counts of distribution. He was held in county jail on $100,000 cash bail. He could face three to five years in state prison if convicted of a third degree crime.
