Traffic stop leads to fugitive arrest

LOWER TOWNSHIP- A routine traffic stop on Feb. 4 led to the arrest of a wanted Villas man who was facing drug charges in Maryland, police said.
Gary Lee DuPont, 46, was wanted on drug charges in Salisbury, Md., where he previously lived. According to police, DuPont faces charges of possession with the intent to distribute crack and cocaine. He is also charged with distributing drugs in a school zone, as well as possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.
DuPont is being held in Cape May County jail on $100,000 full cash bail.
