Lower Township man among 14 arrested in child pornography sweep

A Lower Township man was one of 14 people arrested in a child pornography sweep who will be named at a press conference today in Trenton, according to Acting Attorney General John Hoffman.

The arrests are part of a joint state and federal sweep, and the arrests include two school bus drivers; as well as another defendant charged with manufacturing child pornography for allegedly hacking into an underage girl’s email account and blackmailing her to force her to strip naked on a webcam while he recorded her.

According to the Attorney General, those charged used a file-sharing network to download and distribute child pornography, including child rape videos, on the Internet.

Defendants were arrested in Monroeville, Williamstown, Egg Harbor Township, Lower Township, Bellmawr, Cherry Hill, Pennsauken, Pemberton Township, Tabernacle, Trenton, Montgomery Township, Flemington, Linden and Elizabeth.
