Ferry departures cancelled for high winds

LOWER TOWNSHIP -- Due to high winds, Cape May - Lewes Ferry officials have cancelled four scheduled departures for today, Dec. 27. The 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. departing Cape May and the 11:15 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. leaving Lewes, Del. were cancelled, according to ferry officials.
The remaining schedule for today includes departures at 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. from Cape May, and 4:45 and 7:45 p.m. from Delaware.
“Travelers are urged to call our Guest Services Center at 800 643-3779 or visit our website at www.cmlf.com for updated departure information,” reads an announcement from the Delaware River and Bay Authority, which operates the ferry.
