Ventnor woman pleads guilty to manslaughter

MAYS LANDING – A Ventnor woman has pleaded guilty Friday, April 4 to aggravated manslaughter in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Millville man in 2012, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain said.

Tamasa T. Nobles, 30, of Ventnor entered a guilty plea to the charge of aggravated manslaughter for the killing of Devon Devine, 28, of Millville.

In the early afternoon of December 2, 2012, Ventnor City police responded to a 9-1-1 call for an unresponsive male who had reportedly been stabbed during an altercation. Upon arrival, police officers found Devon Devine outside of Nobles’ residence on the 300-block of Wissahickon Avenue suffering from a stab wound to the chest.

Devine was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

Nobles was taken into custody at the scene, charged with murder and weapons offenses, and lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility, where she has remained since her arrest.

Nobles must serve 85 percent of the prison sentence imposed before becoming eligible for parole.

Nobles will be sentenced before Judge Donio at 1:30 p.m. on June 6.
