Katz JCC to host annual Senior and Adult Expo

MARGATE – The Shore Medical Center, Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce Senior and Adult Expo at the Katz Jewish Community Center, 501 N. Jerome Avenue, Margate on Thursday, Sept. 18 will feature more than 60 health related vendors showcasing their products and services from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The expo is one of the largest active adult health and wellness exhibits in New Jersey. Its focus on lifestyle and active aging for baby boomers and seniors has reached more than 3,000 adults, seniors and caregivers each year in its seven-year history.

Ventnor Commission meeting rescheduled

The Ventnor City Board of Commissioners meeting originally scheduled for Sept. 18 has been changed due to a schedule conflict with the Ventnor Educational Community Complex, which is holding its Back-to-School Night activities at the school starting at 6 p.m.

The commission meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16 in the auditorium at VECC, 400 N. Lafayette Ave.

   

Trinity United Methodist Church raising funds for landscaping

Trinity United Methodist Church Ventnor Trinity United Methodist Church Ventnor VENTNOR - Trinity United Methodist Church, 7117 Ventnor Ave. will be holding a Treaure Sale 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 to raise funds to bring the Trinity exterior back to its former glory.

The church is raising funds to pay for plantings by holding a treasures sale with no price tags. Pastor Peter Jamieson will be on hand to share before and after photos of the progress being made. Refreshments available.

Local artists to judge Atlantic City Boardwalk Art Show

ATLANTIC CITY – Judges for the upcoming Atlantic City Boardwalk Art Show in September will be local artists with ties to Atlantic City – Lennox Warner, A.J. Rudisill and Michael Waters.

The Atlantic City Boardwalk Art Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 at Kennedy Plaza across from Boardwalk Hall, according to the Atlantic City Arts Commission and the Noyes Museum of Art of the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Entertainment will be provided at Trump Plaza.

Week 1 – June 9-15

Monday, June 9, 2 p.m. Atlantic County Library System/Ventnor branch offers Monday Afternoon in the Library for ages 3-5. Early literacy fun includes songs, rhymes, finger plays, and reading. Registration requested. Call 609-823-4614.

Tuesday, June 10, 1-6 p.m., the Milton and Betty Kratz  JCC will host the American Red Cross annual blood drive. Call 609-822-1167.

The Ventnor Mothers Club, which began in the 1930s, is seeking members. The group meets 7 p.m. the second Monday of each mother in the community room of the Ventnor Library and Cultural Art Center.
