MARGATE—The curtain closed on the 2011-12 school year at the Eugene A. Tighe Middle School with an academic pep rally. Principal Michele Carney Ray, an advocate who introduced the Renaissance Character Education program to the school a year ago, used the end of the year to celebrate students’ academic progress.
An assembly complete with physical challenges, music and plenty of cheers and support from classmates and teachers helped end the school year with students being recognized for their academic achievement in all subjects and for most improved student performance.
