Firefighters educate youth about fire safety

The Margate City Fire Department visited all of the city’s public schools, preschools and daycare centers to spread the message of fire safety and National Fire Prevention Week beginning Monday, Oct. 8. Firefighters discussed the importance of fire safety and all aspects of getting out safely in the event of fire. This year’s theme is “Two ways out,” stressing the importance of knowing two ways out of any structure in the event of an emergency.
