MARGATE – Police here used DNA evidence to connect a Galloway man to three counts of burglary dating back to last December.
Corey Reardean, 28, was charged with three counts of burglary and three counts of theft Nov. 26 in connection with burglaries at residences on the 200 block of North Argyle Avenue in December 2011.
Investigating officers Sgt. Tom Kresz, Officer Jennifer Queeney and Detective Joe Scullion determined that the burglaries were similar, and DNA evidence was recovered at two of the crime scenes. After analysis by the New Jersey State Police lab, police established Reardean as the lead suspect and obtained a warrant to retrieve DNA samples from him for comparison. The samples matched, and Reardean was charged.
Bail has yet to be scheduled.
