Sandy support group meets Tuesdays

New Jersey Hope and Healing will holding weekly support meetings for people coping with the emotional stress of Hurricane Sandy 6 p.m. Tuesdays in the community room of the Ventnor Library and Cultural Art Center, 6500 Atlantic Ave., starting Jan. 29.
Trained disaster counselors from New Jersey Hope and Healing will encourage people to share their reactions to help in the healing process.
New Jersey Hope and Healing is a project sponsored by the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Disaster and Terrorism Branch through a Federal Emergency Management Agency grant, in partnership with Mental Health Association in New Jersey.
Counselors from the group have also been working with Hooked on Ventnor Volunteer Relief to assist residents.
