Scholarships available for Margate residents

Daniel and Maria Walters Scholarship Program
Sponsored by the Margate Business Association, the Daniel and Maria Walters Scholarship Program will award two $2,500 scholarships to high school seniors who attended Margate schools. Requirements, including an essay about Hurricane Sandy, can be found on the application, which can be downloaded from the MBA website, www.marvelousmargate.com or here. Deadline is Monday, March 25.
Eleanor ‘Cup’ McNespy and Joseph G. Thompson scholarships
Applications are now being accepted for two $500 scholarships given in memory of Eleanor “Cup” McNespy and Joseph G. Thompson through the Margate Education Association. Any 2009 graduate of the Eugene A. Tighe School who will graduate from an accredited high school is eligible. Applications can be obtained in the main office of the William H. Ross School or local high school guidance counselors. Deadline is Thursday, March 28.
