Voters did what was right

To the editor:

Americans have repudiated the right-wingers and the tea-baggers. They have confirmed that all people have a right to health insurance, and that women have a right to control their own bodies.
Middle-class Americans have a right to make a living without kowtowing to the 1 percent of the most wealthy, who tried to buy this election.

Americans have a right to live with, and marry, who they prefer.
Fear and hatemongering have no place in American politics.
Thankfully, this is still a great country, and we can count on Americans to do what is right.
