EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – According to owner Michael Beshay, the Kings Lounge will be unlike anything else in the South Jersey restaurant scene, and the grand opening slated for Friday, Feb. 22 is designed to show why.

“We will have a DJ playing from 5 until midnight and the music will cater to the crowd,” Beshay said, adding that 75 special guests have been personally invited to attend. “It will start with jazz and change as the crowd changes.”

Then from 9-11, a pair of belly dancers from North Jersey will arrive and dance for the patrons. “This is very rare performance to see unless you have been to a Middle Eastern wedding or some other event like that.”

The grand opening party will also feature appetizers samples from 5-7 p.m. with signature drinks on tap all night. “We offer signature martinis and margaritas that you can’t find anywhere outside of New York City or Philadelphia,” he said, noting the menu offers something for everyone and combines Middle Eastern, Asian and Italian flavors.

Looking ahead, Beshay said he is working on opening an outside seating area for smokers where guests can “sit outside and enjoy a scotch” and a tapas menu as well.

“We are redefining the dining experience and outing experience in the South Jersey area.”
