From big band tunes to river cruises, there is an ecletic mix of options around EHT this weekend:

Big band fundraiser

The Egg Harbor Township Education Foundation, Inc. is sponsoring the second annual Big Band Sounds and Wine Tasting from 6:30-10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5 at Sandi Pointe Restaurant in Somers Point. Ed Vezinho and Jim Ward’s Big Band Sounds will provide an evening of music which will be accompanied by wine and food tastings. Students from the Egg Harbor Township High School will sit in with the Big Band. The cost is $40 per person. Please join us for an entertaining evening. Children's cooking classes

The township recreation department and Chef Ray Klein will team up to offer a children’s cooking class 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 in the Community Center, 5045 English Creek Ave. Price is $30. Bring your own beverages. Registration required. Call (609) 272-8120.

 

Historic River Cruise

The Greate Egg Harbour Township Historical Society will have their annual Historic River Cruise at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6. The scenic tour, narrated by Egg Harbor Township Historian June Sheridan, will begin on the “Duke of Fluke” in Somers Point and cruise down the Great Egg Harbor River. Refreshments will be served. Haunted Hayrides

The Scullville Volunteer Fire Company presents "Terror in the Junkyard 2012 Hayride and Maze" throughout October 7-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 7-10 p.m. Sundays at Flemings Junkyard, 353 Zion Road.
