The Slaybaugh Primary School held an all-day career day on Thursday, Jan. 30. Parents, grandparents and other family and friends met with the students to orient them toward their occupations and share details on what the jobs entail.
Students were able to get the personal insights, and in many cases, literature and giveaways like pencils, books or hats to remind them later of what they learned. The students had been asked to dress like a community helper they would like to become when they grow up. Some dressed as teachers, chefs, hair stylists, doctors and police officers.
