Egg Harbor Township resident Francesca Lanfranchi, 15, raised a whopping $11,500 last Friday, Aug. 12 at her “Dog Day Afternoon” fundraiser at Bonefish Grill in Egg Harbor Township. Lanfranchi’s latest success brings her total dollars raised for Beacon Animal Rescue in Ocean View to more than $40,000.
“It went great,” said Lanfranchi, pictured here with her dog Bo. “It was sold out, and we actually had to turn people away at the door.”
A major contributor to the $11,500 total was the Paws and Claws Society, a Cape May County-based organization that donated $5,000.
“It was amazing,” Lanfranchi said. “Everyone was great.”
