EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – Members of Egg Harbor Township Fire Department were awarded the Seven Seals Award by the New Jersey Employer Support Guard and Reserve on Wednesday, Feb. 8 by Donna Clementoni, director of employer outreach for ESGR.

The award, depicting the seals of the seven military services, recognizes efforts by a citizen, business or organization whose supportive actions have benefited all of the Reserve components in a significant manner. Recipients do not necessarily employ National Guard and Reserve employees, but have demonstrated outstanding support, commitment, and extreme patriotism to the United States military.

The department was honored for its ongoing support of the families of military men and women who are deployed. One specific example was cited during the presentation.

In December volunteer members of the Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company helped hang Christmas lights on the house of Master Sgt. Michael J. Hodsdon who was serving in Afghanistan with the 177th Fighter Wing of the New Jersey Air National Guard.
