EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – Two people were sent to the hospital following a car accident in the Bargaintown section of the township Tuesday, Feb. 21, police said.
Dorothy Kinsell, 65, of Somers Point was traveling east on Oakland Avenue at 7:42 a.m. when she drove her 2005 Ford Taurus through the stop sign at Tremont Avenue and into the path of a 2001 Ford F350 driven by Tony Perednas, 35, of Woodbine who was driving north on Tremont, according to police.
Perednas and Kinsell were treated at the scene by members of the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad. Perednas was transported to AtlantiCare Mainland Campus and Kinsell to
Traffic was detoured for about 30 minutes while the accident was being investigated and cleared.
Kinsell has been charged with failure to stop or yield at a stop sign. The incident is being investigated by Officer Kevin Devlin.
