Local 911 dispatcher to be honored at Philly soccer game

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - James Lockerbie, a 911 dispatch operator with the Egg Harbor Township Police Department, will be honored as a "Hometown Hero" during the Saturday, July 14 match of the Philadelphia Union professional soccer team. Lockerbie, a 16-year employee of the township, is being honored for his role saving the life of a 2-year-old boy during a 911 call in January 2012.
The team honors fans who have also performed remarkable service in their communities through their "Hometown Heroes" recognition program. The award presentation will occur during pregame festivities around 6:30. The game will be televised on Comcast Channel 31, at 7 p.m.
