EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – A three-car crash along Delilah Road in the Farmington section of the township sent two people to the hospital Tuesday, July 13, police said.

At approximately 11:45 a.m., a 2003 Safety Bus driven by Elvia Valdez-Villeda, 38, of Absecon was struck as it was coming to a stop behind a 2012 Acura TL operated by Jacquelin Lilly, 51, of Sicklerville, which was stopped in preparation for making a left turn into a business near the Offshore Commercial Park.

Corey Danko, 39, of Galloway driving a 2012 Hyundai Sonata west on Delilah Road when he failed to observe the vehicles stopped or stopping in front of his car, police said. He rear-ended the bus, which was then pushed into the Acura.

Danko and Valdez-Villeda were treated at the scene by Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division for treatment of minor injuries.

The bus had no passengers at the time of the crash.

Traffic was detoured for approximately an hour while the crash was being investigated and cleared. Danko was issued a motor vehicle summons for careless driving.

The crash was investigated by Officer Robert Moran.
