According to police, Troy Dougherty, 19, Dominic Tarsitano, 18, Matthew Franks, 19, and Edgar Montiel, 20, were arrested following a home invasion robbery that occurred along Steelmanville Road at approximately 3:16 a.m.
Police said two male victims were in the garage of the home when they were confronted by four masked individuals, two of which were holding guns.
The four suspects assaulted the victims by striking them with metal pipes or similar objects before fleeing the area on foot, police said. The two victims were transported to Shore Medical Center by the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad for treatment of their injuries. One victim refused treatment.
Numerous officers responded to the area and set up a perimeter. Officer Mark Mensch and his K-9 partner Diesel conducted a search for the suspects but the suspects were not located at that time. Further investigation led officers to a residence on Jeffers Landing Road, in the Scullville section of the township where the suspects were taken into custody.
