Pair arrested for alleged role in residential burglaries

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – An Egg Harbor Township woman and a Galloway man were arrested Saturday, Oct. 13 by township police in connection with a series of residential burglaries, police said.

Amanda J. Kelly, 23, of Egg Harbor Township and Michael V. Piperato, 22, of Galloway charged with numerous crimes including burglary, theft and receiving stolen property.  Piperato was additionally charged with being in possession of heroin, marijuana and a hypodermic needle, police said. The pair live in Brigantine.

Township Det. Patricia DiMarco worked with Brigantine Police to recover more than $10,000 in stolen collectibles and jewelry. Both Kelly and Piperato have been additionally charged with the theft of various items from a storage unit in Egg Harbor Township and for being in possession of property stolen from a location in Pleasantville. 

Kelly was lodged at Gerard L. Gormley Justice Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash bail and Piperato was lodged there in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
