The Egg Harbor Township Fire Report, Oct. 19-31

The Farmington and Cardiff volunteer fire companies responded on Oct. 19 to Fisler Avenue for a gas leak inside a residence and were on location for one hour.

 The Egg Harbor Township Technical Rescue Team responded on Oct. 23 to RAC Fencing on the Black Horse Pike for a rescue assignment and was on location for one hour.

 The Farmington and Cardiff volunteer fire companies responded on Oct. 26 to the intersection of Wescott and Delilah roads for an overturned cement mixer and were on location for three hours.

 The Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company responded to the intersection of Fire and Tilton roads for a motor vehicle crash involving a NJ Transit Bus on Oct. 28. Approximately 200 gallons of fuel was spilled on the road.

 The Farmington Volunteer Fire Company responded to the Garden State Parkway at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 28 for a motor vehicle crash and was on location for 30 minutes.

 The Cardiff and Farmington volunteer fire companies responded to Foster Avenue at 5:34 p.m. on Oct. 28 for a report of a structure fire and were on location for one hour.

 The Bargaintown and Scullville volunteer fire companies responded at 4:30 a.m. to Grange Cross Lane on Oct. 29 for a kitchen fire and were on location for one hour.

 The Egg Harbor Township Fire Department responded to numerous requests for rescues during the Hurricane Sandy beginning Oct. 28 until Oct. 31. This included the evacuation of West Atlantic City, Sea Village Marina on Margate Boulevard, Seaview Harbor on Longport Boulevard, a water rescue on Ocean Heights Avenue, a water rescue from a submerged car, a structure fire on Washington Avenue, a structure fire on Fire Road, and a car fire on Fire Road.
