Alder students present Halloween safety skit

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - The Alder Avenue Middle School National Junior Honor Society preformed a “Halloween Safety Skit” with the theme of “Finding Nemo” to the students at the Clayton J. Davenport school grades K-3, Monday, Nov. 5. The performance was postponed from its original date due to Hurricane Sandy.
The play was written and performed by the National Junior Honor Society members at Alder Avenue Middle School to highlight how to be safe during trick or treating. In addition to writing the play the students also wrote the music and designed the costumes. The advisors, for the AAMS National Junior Honor Society are Elyse McKelvey and Karen Cunningham.
The National Junior Honor Society members wrote the skit, the lyrics and music and designed the costumes themselves. The members are Heena Shafique, Heather Folsom, Joshua Faust, Maya Desai, Cristine McElhinney, Alyssa Eggly, Samiyah Banfield, Kayla Bordley, Nina Sample, Jenna Wigglesworth, Brandon Truong, Bailey Clauson, Morgan Wright, Tahmid Nasor, Priya Parikh, Zachary Ballard, Eshrat Oyeshee, Emily Taroncher, Yuqing Wang, Gabriella Chin, Andrew Fowler, Andrew Mormile, Steven Lasewicz and Arian Redzepi.
