Pumpkins by the book

Jeanette Corea’s second grade class wins first place in its grade with pumpkin, based on the book “Arnie the Doughnut” by Laurie Keller

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - Slaybaugh Elementary School held a pumpkin decorating contest.  Pumpkins had to be decorated based on each class’ favorite book or book character.  Students and teachers were excited to show off their pumpkins in the Media Center.  The winning classes will have a movie afternoon with popcorn in the Media Center as their prize.  Pumpkins were donated by the Slaybaugh Parents Club with art supplies donated by Kristina Benton, the school’s art teacher.
