EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - A 38-year-old township man was charged with careless driving after the vehicle he was driving allegedly collided with an Egg Harbor Township School District bus transporting children in the Cardiff section of the township on Thursday, Nov. 8, police said.
Christopher Vega, 38, was driving south on Spruce Avenue at approximately 3:43 p.m. when he failed to stop or avoid the bus, which was slowing down to turn right onto Franklin Avenue, causing Vega's 2012 Hyundai Sonata hit the rear of the bus, police said.
Vega and a juvenile passenger were treated at the scene by the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and transported to Shore Medical Center for injuries.
No students were injured. The bus was driven by Laura Feinstein, 42, of Egg Harbor Township, who was also uninjured, police said.
