Slaybaugh principal endures the cold at her campsite

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - Slaybaugh Complex Principal Mary Ann Giardina was dressed warmly in her blue fleece and had plenty of blankets set up in her tent on Wednesday, Nov. 28. 

She kept her promise to the students to camp out if they came close to their goal of collecting 2,500 donated books for the school, even though they were still a few hundred shy as of the night of the camp-out. During the evening, students arrived to visit with her at the campsite, have a cup of hot chocolate and hopefully bring another book for the drive.
