FEMA specialists in local hardware stores this weekend

TRENTON - Specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Administration will be present at local home improvement stores through Monday, Dec. 17 with information that will help residents affected by Hurricane Sandy rebuild stronger, safer and smarter. They have information about building techniques that can provide more protection for homes, businesses and properties in future disasters.

This free service also offers information and publications about home improvement, such as:
• Mold and mildew clean-up
• Flood- and wind-resistant building methods
• Wind straps
• Flood insurance
• Retrofitting buildings
• Elevating utilities

FEMA specialists are available from  8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12 to Monday, Dec. 17, at the following home improvement stores:

• Home Depot, 6 Tower Ave., Egg Harbor Township
• Home Depot, 421 Absecon Blvd., Absecon
