Pair nabbed for alleged theft from Boscovs

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – An Egg Harbor Township man and a Hammonton woman were arrested and charged with shoplifting after allegedly stealing merchandise from Boscovs in the Shore Mall on Saturday, Jan. 5, police said.

Edgardo Matos, 36, of Egg Harbor Township and Tricia Wright, 27, of Hammonton were arrested by township police after an employee waived down Officer Joseph Griffiths who was patrolling the mall and stated that the pair was seen removing items valued at nearly $300 before leaving in a car.

Matos was charged with shoplifting, eluding and numerous motor vehicle charges.  Bail for Matos was set by Municipal Court Judge H. R. Switzer at $25,000 cash and he was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility. 

Wright was charged with shoplifting and released on a summons pending court.
