State to adopt FEMA's proposed base flood elevation maps

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - New Jersey will adopt the proposed Federal Emergency Management's (FEMA) Advisory Base Flood Elevation maps, Gov. Chris Christie announced during a press conference in Seaside Heights Thursday, Jan. 24. In the press conference, Christie stated the move will clear the way for residents and business owners along the Jersey Shore to make homes safer and stronger.
His statement was part of the information shared during a FEMA meeting with Egg Harbor Township residents that evening.
