EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – Three people who were entrapped in the car they were traveling in after it was struck by another vehicle and overturned were able to “walk away” from the Sunday Feb. 10 crash, thanks to responders, according to fire department officials.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Zion and Old Zion Roads in the Bargaintown section of the township when the car was hit and flipped on its side after striking a fire hydrant.

After some manipulation by firefighters, all three people in the overturned car "walked away" from the crash, officials said, and were taken by ambulance to Atlanticare Medical Center. Also responding were Egg Harbor Township Ambulance, Egg Harbor Township Police Department, Atlanticare Paramedics and N.J. American Water Company.

Check back for the police report of the incident.
