Teachers of the year honored

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – Teacher of the year honorees from each of the Egg Harbor Township School District schools were honored in a red carpet ceremony Tuesday, Feb. 26, complete with a video reel of all of the nominees and a grand announcement of the winners, thanks to EHT-TV's staff.
Following the presentation of the awards and comments from each school principal about their winners, the teachers, their family and friends were treated to a dessert reception and photo opportunities.
The winners are: second-grade teacher Katherine Biel from the H. Russell Swift School; first-grade teacher Karen Ebert from the E. H. Slaybaugh Primary School; reading specialist Danielle Conroy from the C. J. Davenport Elementary School; fifth-grade teacher Kimberly Pettit from the Dr. Joyanne D. Miller School; sixth-grade teacher Jeff Warner from Alder Avenue Middle School; science teacher Linda Szypula from Fernwood Avenue Middle School; special education teacher Laura Butrus from the high school; and teacher Gerald Meister from the Eagle Academy.
