EHT driver sent to hospital after vehicle rolls over in Black Horse Pike crash

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – An Egg Harbor Township man was sent to the hospital for serious injuries after his vehicle rolled over in a Sunday, Jan. 26 accident along the Black Horse Pike in the area of Harbor Square in the Cardiff section, police said.

  At approximately 11 p.m., German G. Gomez-Miralda, 40, was driving west on the Black Horse Pike at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his 2005 Nissan Pathfinder, police said. The vehicle left the roadway, hit a light pole, rolled over and came to a rest on the westbound shoulder.

 Gomez-Miralda was treated at the scene by the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and AtlantiCare Paramedics. He was transported to AtlantiCare City Campus Trauma Center with moderate to serious injuries.

Traffic was detoured for approximately two hours while the crash was being investigated and cleared.

The crash is being investigated by Officers Robert Moran and Louis Poletis.
