EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - Challenge yourself to go beyond your comfort zone at the Egg Harbor Township Police Athletic League 2k and 5k Enforcer Challenge II on Sunday, June 8, rain or shine at the Ready to Ride Center, 2590 Ridge Ave in Egg Harbor Township.

The first wave of runners starts at 9 a.m.  Early entry fee through May 24 is $20 for 2k runners and $30 for 5k runners. After May 25, the costs increase by $10. Enforcer Challenge t-shirts are guaranteed to those who register prior to May 25.

All proceeds from this event will go toward the construction of the organization’s  “Buddy’s Adventure Zone,” a project is slated to include a 29,250 square foot turf athletic field, a 6,000 square foot technology center, eight preschool classrooms offering childcare and education, a PAL radio station and a catering facility.  Boys and girls indoor lacrosse, arena style football, volleyball, rock climbing, model rocketry, Lego® Robotics and other activities are expected to be offered in the building, and there are plans to include an internet café and fully-functional recording studio.  The facility is designed to give children the opportunity to exercise their imagination, and hopefully through creative learning, spark an interest in self-discovery that will continue through their teen and young adult years.  The facility will also dedicate plenty of space for children to focus on the health of their bodies and minds through exercise and fitness programs.

To register for the Enforcer Challenge or learning more about “Buddy’s Adventure Zone” go to www.EHTPAL.org. Sponsorships for the race are still available. Email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
