EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – A 26-year-old Pleasantville man was arrested on drug and assault charges after police interrupted an alleged drug deal in the Heathercroft Condominium complex in the Bargaintown section of the township Thursday, June 5.

Jimmy Blake was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence, possession of marijuana less than 50 grams, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance and criminal mischief after a short foot chase and struggle with Egg Harbor Township police around 7:51 p.m.

According to police, Officer James Naylor responded to a call regarding a drug investigation and found Blake in the area, allegedly attempting to make a drug delivery. He fled on foot and Officers Michael Palmentieri and Ken Marchelle were called in to assist, the report stated.
