Thank you, township workers

To the editor:
This summer on June 30 we suffered incredible storm damage, as did many others in Egg Harbor Township and our surrounding communities.
We woke to find that three large oak trees had fallen, filling our whole front yard. The rest of our wooded property on School House Road was also littered with downed and/or damaged trees. After days of sawing, cutting and cleaning, we had huge piles of refuse all along the street frontage of our property. In fact, the whole street was lined with the cuttings from our neighbors as well.
We were surprised and grateful at how quickly the public works department came along to grind up and remove the piles of trees and debris. Thank you to all the public workers who were responsible for the post-storm cleanup. Well done.
